Dear Sir or Madam,

Subject: Flight rescheduling due to unavoidable circumstances.

I am writing this letter to inform you that I missed my flight from New Delhi to London on 15th December due to a technical error from the Airport Authority's side.

My flight was scheduled to leave New Delhi at 17:30 hours. I had arrived at the airport well in advance, conservatively speaking 4 hours ahead of time. I was in line at the security check-in and I was pulled aside on grounds of 'having suspicious item(s) in my luggage'. I was told so by the security personnel who proceeded to then check my bag himself and found nothing of the sort, unsurprisingly. This event was totally out of my control and I told the personnel that my flight was scheduled very soon but due to them perceiving this to be a security threat, I was held back. Only after a very time-consuming, thorough check of my luggage bag did they let me go. The authorities hence assured me that writing a mail to the airline shall solve it and they will verify this from their side.

So, since I missed the flight because of a reason, which was beyond my control and had something to do with the airport authority, I would truly appreciate it if you could reschedule my travel. I am attaching the ticket with this letter for your convenience.

Yours sincerely,

Bhumika/Bhuvan
