there are many stories which shows birbal's intelligence and sense. one of them is:
birbal ki kichdi:
in this story a man came to akbar to gave him some money . so the akbar said that he will give him money but only in one condition if he will stand inside in the river (whose water was very cold) whole night . next day, in akbar's darbar akbar asked the man how could you stand in the river whole night. so the man replied that he is getting heat from the diya which was kept outside the palace door and is very far from river. so the akbar didn't gave him money by saying that you are taking heat. by listening this birbal thoght a idea . he organised a meal at his house and also invetes akbar. when the akbar and other ministers came they ask to birbal's wife where he was she replied that he was in the garden. when all came there they saw that he was cooking kichdi which was at a height from the fire. so akbar asked what are you doing are you gone mad . so birbal replied my lord it will cook in some time so akbar said how it is possible? birbal replied it is possible like that poor man get heat from that diya it will also cook soon. akbar realize his mistake and next day he called that man and gave him money.
