you must have seen birds sitting on an overhead electric cable comfortably. once a monkey swings between two parallel wires, gets electrocuted and dies. why?

because when monkey swings between parralel wires the circuit is completely done it cause shock to monkey

Birds can easily sit on electric wires but monkey gets easily electrocuted because -

• For monkey or most of the living species,the external skin layer is mostly contain some amount of moisture which helps the electricity to pass through the body and the living being gets electrocuted easily.

• But the external body layer of the bird is totally insulated from electricity (due to specific cell modification) and that's why the electricity can't pass through bird's body.

In this way birds don't get electrocuted and can sit on the wires without any problems.
