These words were spoken to Amitav by Shahid. These words had deep impact on the writer. It gave him the clarity that he had been entrusted to write about Shahid after his passing away; and he had to no other choice except accepting the responsibility.  

Immediately after his conversation with Shahid, the writer picked up his pen and noted down everything he had known about Shahid. After this incident, every time he went to meet Shahid, he would take notes of the important things. On the bases of these notes he wrote about Shahid after his sad demise.
