Answer:

1. At 150 degrees west, it will be 6 PM.

2. 2 am.

3. 3 pm.

4. 5am

5. 12:56 a.m.

Explanation:

2. 120° = 120 × 4 minutes = 480 minutes. ∴ 480 mins = hours = 8 hours. ∴ The time at 0° = 10 am - 8 hours = 2 am.

3. If 4 minutes equals to 1° then we would have to add when we are going west of the Greenwich meridian. So, at GMT the time would be (if the time was 10 morning at 135° west longitude)= 10+5 (since 60*5 is 300 minutes) which is 3 pm. So the time at 60 degree west longitude would be 3 pm.

4.79W appears to include Nanavut (Eskimo, NE Canada), the US “East Coast”, and Cuba. All of this is “Eastern time zone”, one hour ahead of Canada, and so the answer to the question should be “5am”

5. The longitudinal difference at Singapore and Greenwich is 104° so the time difference is 104 × 4 = 416 minutes i.e. 6 hours 56 minutes. So the time at Singapore will be 12:56 a.m.

HOPE YOU FIND IT USEFUL
