The 13% solution costs rs 82 per ltr for the first 67 litre, and rs 66 per ltr for any amount in access of 67 ltrs. What is the cost of the 13% solution you should buy

Hey mate here is your answer....

0.13x + 0.43y = 0.18 * 120 & x + y =120 => y = 120 - x

=> 0.13x + 0.43 (120 - x) = 0.18 * 120

=> x = 100

=> 100 lts of 13% solution

100 - 67 = 33

So,

67 * 82 + 33 * 66 = 7672

Therefore, Answer is Rs. 7672 for 100 lts of 13% solution.
