You need to put your reindeer, jebediah, lancer, ezekiel, gloopin, and bloopin, in a single-file line to pull your sleigh. However, lancer and ezekiel are best friends, so you have to put them next to each other, or they won't fly. How many ways can you arrange your reindeer?

Answer:

Call lancer L and Ezekiel E

Starting in position you can have 4 arrangements of L E.

Likewise there are 4 arrangements of E L (E in 1 ,2 ,3 ,4).

So L and E can be arranged in a total of 8 ways.

For each of these arrangements the other three can

be arranged in 3! = 6 ways.

So the total arrangements is 6 * 8 = 48

Answer:

12

Step-by-step explanation:

Because you can arrange the double-reindeer with Ezekiel in front or with Jebediah in front, and those are different arrangements! So the actual number of arrangements with Ezekiel and Jebediah together is 6 x 2 = 12
