Both chronological and skill based resume should contain career objective.

• Many people thought that the purpose of resume is to get jobs. But it's not true. A resumes purpose is to open or close the door towards opportunities.
• A functional resume should contain information about our abilities, like teaching,coordinating, managing, hiring, coding, etc which are included in the skill based resume. These information are not included in the chronological resume.
• Chronological resume contain information about our career summary and object, which is also important to be mentioned in skill based resume.
• Our career objective tells about our knowledge,skills, ability and our interests towards the job and our career.
• It tells about our goals by telling what we want to accomplish in our career to the hiring team which creates high impact to our resume.
• Hence, it is important to add career objective in both chronological and skill based resumes.
