Given :-

  • 6 plants sprout among 30 seeds

To Find :-

  • How many will sprout if we plant 40 seeds

Answer :-

  • 8 plants

Solution :-

  • Firstly we will find the value of each plant to sprout among given plants . Them for finding the value for 40 seeds, we will multiply it with 40 to get the answer .

Plants Sprout among 30 seeds = 6

Plants Sprout among 1 seed = \sf\dfrac{6}{30}=\dfrac{1}{5}

A.T.Q

  • Now we have to find how many plants will sprout if you plant 40 seeds

Plants sprout for 40 seeds

\implies\sf{\dfrac{1}{5}\times40}

\implies\sf{\dfrac{1}{\cancel{5}}\times\cancel{40}}

\implies\sf{8}

  • So, 8 plants will sprout if we will plant 40 seeds
