Find the cost of the 1 apple you bought:

6 apples = Rs 90

1 apple = 90 ÷ 6 = Rs 15

Find the cost of 1 apple your friend bought:

5 apples = Rs 70

1 apple = 70 ÷ 5 = Rs 14

Compare:

Rs 14 < Rs 15

⇒The apple your friend purchased is a better deal.

Answer: Your friend's purchase is better.
