When a person is declared brain dead, then there is no blood flow and the oxygen fails to reach their brain. This ultimately leads to the failure of brain functioning. Although, in certain cases, the individual’s other organs continue being active. The ventilator provides oxygen to the lungs and heart. The reason why the person continues living a few more days even after being declared as brain dead. Unless damaged by injury, one can opt for transplantation of the organs such as kidney, liver, heart, pancreas, intestine, and eyes from the dead patients. There needs to be awareness regarding the same as organ donation can save many lives, and can also better many people’s living conditions.
