Dear Nikhil,
The weirdest thing happened yesterday. After getting over from school I decided to take a short cut through the woods. As I cycled through the worn out path I heard a strange whistling.
You know how I love birds. Mistaking it for a bird whistle I started tracking it. It took me deep inside the forest. And who should I find there! An old man with a sola topee.
On his hat were perched thousands of colourful birds. Birds I had never seen before.
On seeing me he signaled me to keep still. He was feeding the birds with grains. As they heartily pecked at their food he slipped a kind of ring round their legs.
After about an hour he got up and sat on my carrier and asked me to cycle him to the main road.
He then told me he was an ornithologist. He had come on a fellowship to the nearby university.
Hearing about my love for birds he offered me the post of his assistant.
After school I will be helping him. I am very excited. My first job and my first boss. I start work from tomorrow.
