Dear Polly
I hope this letter finds you in a hale and hearty spirit. Not long ago, I watched a play organized by our school. Let me tell you how moved I was upon watching it.
The play was the story of mostly every girl child born in India. From the moment she steps into the world, her world keeps falling to pieces. She is forced to watch her brothers study while she half-heartedly sweeps the floor. She takes a step towards the cricket field, inspired to play, but there is someone standing in her way, scolding her for not cleaning hard enough. She misses out on school, is bullied by her own society, is helpless, is not able to get out of her cage. But mind you, she steadily endures her hardships. Bit by bit, she builds her realm all by herself.
The play showcased this plight of a girl child with such delicacy and precision that it touched my heart. The play swayed my emotions towards our society. We launch missions to Mars, discover new species, make pure inventions. But it makes me feel so ashamed that we cannot provide a girl the right to everything. I am waiting for your response eagerly.
Yours faithfully
Rhea
