Sub:  Poor Sanitary Conditions at Government hospitals in our city.

Sir

I write to your esteemed self to express my deep concern and anguish over the poor state of the government hospital in Jammu. As you already know there is an outbreak of epidemic of dengue and chikanguniya all across the nation. In this situation, my brother was affected by dengue unfortunately. We rushed him to the government hospital in desperation. We did not know the shocking surprises we would meet at the hospital.

The hygiene and the cleanliness at the emergency were horrible. Litter lay scattered in the corridors and the reception appeared to have not been cleaned for many days. As I went to the reception, I found the desk deserted. Seeing the poor state of affairs, the family decided to rush to Dyanand Medical College and Hospital.

If we had not rushed my brother to that hospital, any tragedy could have happened! I felt so outraged the Government operated hospitals afterwards! What a sheer wastage of national resources, the tax money of us, the taxpayers! What is the good of such government hospitals which are as good as nothing? Why does the government not privatize such hospitals?

Now, I on behalf of all the residents of Delhi appeal to the concerned authorities to look into the poor state of the Government hospitals. These hospitals should be either given to private companies or managed properly. I am hopeful that you will give my views enough space in your esteemed daily.

Yours truly,

Suraj

Respected Sir,

Recently I went to a local government hospital to see my relative who is hospitalised there, but It was a shock of my life as there was a mess. There was so much dust everywhere and when I went to the washroom,I felt so sorry for the poor families who cannot afford to get to private hospals. The government must think about the government hospitals.Cleanliness must be primary concern in the government hospitals as the small kids and the elderly may get infected due to the unhygenic conditions of the hospital.Kindly publish this article In your esteemed newspaper so that it may awake the concerned authorities.

Thanking you
