On the 26th of June, just before the school could close for the Winter holidays our school organized a volunteering trip to an Old Age Home nearby. I wasn't part of the N.S.S society but I still gave my name to volunteer as one of my best friends was going.

We went to (name of the old age home) and on reaching there we had to sanitize our hands. I noticed there were so many senior citizens above 60 years. The surroundings of the home were filled with a lot of tall trees with a lake behind the home. It was such a calm and peaceful environment. All the rooms were spacious with even a recreational room for the grandma's and grandpa's to sit and talk or read a magazine or even play the piano if they wanted. All the bathrooms were clean.

I even noticed a medical room where on a regular basis they get their check-ups done. There was even a library for them to read books if they felt like. The Old age home is almost like a Home away from home.
