Book Fair

Yesterday I visited the 24th Book Fair at Maidan, Kolkata. I saw many stalls full with many books. I bought a collection of poems of Robert Browning and Emily Bronte's 'Wuthering Heights' and also few English grammar books. From the collection of poems I received a letter from Robert Browning to Elizabeth Barrett Browning, I was surprised to see it. I want to take it to the exhibition. I'm very much happy now.

Dear Diary,

I had an eventful day today. I spent the entire day at the book fair in Maidan. They did not have any entry fees, but even if they did, I would have happily paid it. There were so many stalls and millions of books, or so it seemed to me! There were all types of books, starting with cute feel-and-sing-along books for children, to knowledge banks, books to fuel the imagination and to improve the self. I wanted to buy a truckload of books, but my pocket money allowed only a few. All the walking has tired me out, but I will begin reading at least one book tonight. The only trouble is that I can't make up my mind which one to start with- O'Henry's short stories, John Grisham's "A time to kill" or the book on calligraphy. I am happily spoilt for choice!
