Dear Sir,
I am writing you this letter to you to tell you about the street children that saw today. They are begging for food and money. Some of these children are on the road to sell snacks and drinks to passengers. Most of them are homeless and living far from their families.
I would like to express my concern on this issue of our country. I believe that every child deserves to be protected and educated. I think it is not only the government who should help them out. As a simple citizen, I want to be part of solving our country’s problem and I am hoping that you could feature this social issue.
Thanking you very much for your consideration.
Respectfully yours,

Subject: Problem of begging children on roads
Dear Sir:
I am writing to your esteemed self to express my deep concern over the problem of begging by children in our country. Begging, like many other problems is peculiarly a typical Indian problem. One will find children begging almost everywhere. However, at places of religious importance, touristic importance, and at traffic lights, they abound annoyingly. These beggars often make one feel bad. Their presence in the country reminds us constantly about the millions of poor people who have to beg for their survival.
The Government at the state and central levels must make schemes to help these beggars. People and welfare organizations must also contribute in rehabilitating these impoverished people. In order to discourage begging, it should be banned. The people should also stop giving alms to the beggars.
We must not discard beggars as useless people; we should rather help them become self-reliant in earning a decent livelihood for themselves. Especially the children should be given special help by the Government. They should be sent to schools by the Government and their other needs should also be taken care of. Through the medium of your esteemed daily I appeal to the Government to look into this and do something for the beggars, especially the begging children.
Yours truly,
Manav
