The answer is 22.5J

GIVEN

You serve a volleyball with a mass of .05 kg. The ball leaves your hand with a speed of 30 m/s.

TO FIND

The Kinetic Energy.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows;

We are given;

Mass of the volley ball = 0.05kg

Velocity of the ball = 30m/s²

To calculate the K.E of the ball we will apply the following formula;

K.E =  \frac{1}{2} m {v}^{2}

Putting the values in the above formula we get;

 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 0.05 \times  {30}^{2}

22.5J

Hence, The answer is 22.5J
