You should like to have a cellphone , but you cannot afford to buy one. A friend of yours is selling a stolen cellphone, which is very cheap, Are you going to but it ? if your answer is yes or no, briefly explain why?

No, I would not buy the cellphone from my friend. The reasons are stated below -

  • Firstly, it is an offense to steal someone's property. I would ask my friend to return it to the person he or she stole it from or to hand over the cell to the police.
  • Secondly, buying a stolen device might lead to many issues in the future-
  1. The person whose cell was stolen might tap the cell and find its location by using the IP address of the cell if he somehow remembers it and I might go to jail for this offense.
  2. The cell might contain viruses that would work like a trojan horse or other viruses and steal my valuable information like key of Gmail account and do malicious activity in my name.
  3. Therefore, we should never steal or buy someone else's cell or any other device.
