You went on a visit to an "Old Age Home" last week and you were disturbed to hear the stories of lonely parents who felt betrayed when their children decided to leave them in an old age home. Write an article, in about 100-150 words, based on this topic giving a suitable title and share the experiences of your visit. You may take the help of the clues given below.
• Explain the physical, mental and emotional state of the parents
living in the old age home.
• Share your observations on the kind of lifestyle they lead and the
difficulties that they face in their old age.
• Highlight some of the experiences of these parents that really moved you.
• Write a suitable conclusion on how you think the children of the present generation should handle their parents responsibly.

A visit to "Old Age Home"

I was in Bengaluru , I recently shifted to Lucknow , a city in Uttar Pradesh. Being a traveller I likes visiting new places & discovering many more things about them. Recently , when I heard that there is a old age home near the city highway I planned to visit their.

It was the day when I was on my way to the old age home. I reached their very soon & now I was their with the betrayed parents living their. Many of them were seemed to be very old generally of seventy to seventy five & a few were of about fifty to sixty. It was the worst thing I ever seen in my life , I saw those senior citizens crying from the core of their soul.

They were physically weak , mentally out of consciousness & emotionally they were broken as whenever they share their griefs to someone , they start crying louder with the huge grief inside. Many of them seemed to be still hoping for their children to come and pick them back to home to live with them.

I observed those people living a simple life with simple cloths , food and overall lifestyle. They weren't treated too well because the servers weren't their relatives or caring one but although they treated them in somewhat good way.

I sat with many of them their to discuss their experience of life. They all were broken deep inside. The average wordings from all of them their was, no body pleases you when you are old , those parents are the luckiest whose children still cares them in thier last stage & their this saying moved me completely. I experienced them to be hopeless.

In conclusion , the children of the present generation should handle their parent's responsibility. They should never forget the sacrifices which their parents had done for them. They can never pay for their sacrifices but atleast they can look after to them when they don't have the ability to stand on their own , to grab good wishes & blessings from them. We can't see the Almighty , but he had sent his proportions in the form of our parents & therefore , it's our prime duty to take care of our parents.

Not a few millions of parents strongly hope that their own children will step in by instantly becoming their own parents’ foster parents, if and when the parents reach their second childhood...
