Explanation:
Yesterday, I had gone to book a ticket at the Old Delhi Railway Station. What I didn't expect was the enormity of the crowd that will engulf almost any visible space.
Right from the moment I came out of the metro station, the crowd was purely overwhelming. the bustling of the people was enough to discourage one from going in. Be it the auto drivers trying to ferry you, or the people pushing you to get to their destinations, or the porters and even beggars approaching you like you are someone important. And after all that has been through, the inside of the railway station was more crowded than the outside.
There were people walking to and fro, some sleeping while some just seem to observe the crowd. The sheer volume of the crowd, the porters moving along hurriedly, the trains coming and going, the whole scene was one big world within itself. The line for the train ticket booking was, as expected, long and tiresome, yet too slow. I had to wait for almost 5 hours standing in queue to get the ticket.
after finally getting it done, I was so relieved to be away from that place itself. It was a tiring but a somehow new experience for me.
