Today was the thunderous Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challenges Bangalore match. But looks like the thunder bolt struck me hard in the face when my own team lost to the opponent by just one run.

What do I say about that one precious run which overpowered them! They had 20 overs with each over full of 6 balls with them and they could not manage another single run? I cannot forget now the promise I made to my parents that I would never ever misbehave for which only they would take me all the way to Pune for this match I was craving to see. But instead, I saw RCB defeat Chennai Super Kings in their very own town. It was very disheartening. My sister teased me without any limit how I had lost a bet to her! Even my grandmother, a super fan of Dhoni, was upset.

No amount of words would change the sad truth. It would be painful to wait another year to see my favourite team on the field again. And next time, if, god forbid, CSK does not get the cup, I think I will collapse. Good night, Diary.

Diary Writing

One writes a diary to put his/her emotions and feelings into words, which helps just like telling a best  friend secrets that you don't want to suppress. The tone is relaxed and the language is casual in a diary entry. Below is its format:

  • Day, date on the left margin and time close to the right margin

Time is supposed to be late at night.

  • Body

Writing 'Dear Diary' is not necessary.

Break it into three paragraphs: introduction, explanation, conclusion.

  • Name of the writer
