I can never forget this day as today I experienced the beauty of snowfall for the first time in life. Earlier, I had only imagined it or seen in the movies. How strongly I longed to see snowfall right there in front of me. Today was the day when my wish was granted and I felt I was fortunate to have planned it during this time.
Though continuous rain of two days restricted our fun and trekking activities, I forgot about it the moment I saw the flakes of snow falling quietly on the rooftop, unlike the rain. As the snowfall continued, the whole place seemed blanketed by a spotless white cover. The treetops, rooftops, cars, roads everything turned white and I wished it remains like this forever, though it couldn't be possible. Why? Because we were out to make a snowman. How fulfilling it was to make the complete snowman with a bow and a hat. Cheme started throwing at me and when I hit her back with a bigger ball, she started crying. These sisters are always like that. Anyways, it was an ultimate experience for me.

Shimla has always been a place I wanted to visit. I thought of it as a lovely hill station with magnificent scenery and tall peaks. While I knew that Shimla experiences snowfall every winter, I was not really hoping to see it during my visit in November. We were just walking leisurely enjoying the lovely scenery, when snow started falling from the sky. Suddenly everything was covered in a white blanket. The experience seemed surrealistic to me. My brother and I made the most of it. We made snowballs and started throwing them at each other. Watching the snow falling from the skies and playing in it was simply the highlight of our trip.
I am sure it is a memory that will remain etched in my mind forever.
