Sub: Strange incident

Dear Mother:

I hope you are in great health and state of mind. In hurry to leave for my hostel I forgot to share with you a very strange incident that happened in your absence.  

I was watching TV alone and suddenly the fire alarm went off. I ran into the lobby to see if some fire has broken out. To my utter surprise I could not find any fire. Then I switched it off. I was really scared at this strange incident. The rest is fine. I reached hostel well in time.
