A kaleidoscope can be made without using the plane mirror.

In a kaleidoscope instead of using plane mirrors we can use aluminum foil.

Stick aluminum foil on a piece of rectangular cardboard. Make three such cardboard arrangements and then, stick these three pieces to make a kaleidoscope.

No, the Kaleidoscope made with aluminum foil will not be as good because aluminum foil reflects less light than a mirror can.
