The Woman Who Vanished Into The Thin Air!
Strange things just happen out of blue and leave you wondering at the mysteries of life! I will never forget that fateful day whose memory is etched indelibly on my mind. It was Sunday, and I had gone to the downtown market to buy a newly launched fiction book. The crowds around me were milling! I was inching my way towards the book shop! And suddenly someone called me from behind! I stopped and looked over the shoulder. A woman wearing tattered clothes, her appearance all shabby, was asking me to give him some money for the lunch. It was my principle not to ignore such pleadings. I took some undefinable satisfaction in helping such kind of unfortunate people, who were forced to beg for their basic subsistence. So without any delay, I turned and fished my wallet out of my pocket! I gave the woman a fifty rupee note I was engrossed in putting my wallet back into the pocket. As I turned to ask her if she needed anything more, I was surprised to find her gone! The crowd around me didn't allow me to explore the direction in which she had disappeared! I kept standing there looking all around for her but in vain. I just began wondering where had she disappeared! The mystery remains unsolved even until today!
