Dear Anshu,
It has been almost a year since you moved to your new school. How are you? How are your studies going on? Have you made any new friends yet?
Remember, when you came to my house during the last summer vacation, we decided to write to each other on a regular basis. While we have not been able to keep up that promise, I’m hoping we can do so starting now. I’m writing to tell you about the recent trip I went on with my family.
We visited Kerala; such a beautiful place: greenery every where and a spectacular view of the sea. It was a three day trip. On the first day, after checking out of the airport we went directly to the ‘ House Boat’. An entire day floating in the backwaters, soaking in the natural beauty, enjoying local delicacies, and staring at the mesmerizing stars by night, was an experience beyond awesome.
The next day, we went to a resort known as ‘Vivanta by Taj’; a simply magnificent place. We checked into a villa with a private pool. We stayed for a day, I wished we could stay longer as I felt a day was not enough to explore that place in all its glory. We fed the ducks and fish and went on a boat ride again, this time with my little cousin, Myra. She is three years old.
We returned to Hyderabad the following day. As the plane took off the beautiful scenery seemed to fade away, the memories however will remain etched in my mind for the rest of my life. You should consider it as an option for your next vacation.
I am eager to know how you spent your summer break. Looking forward to hearing from you about your year at the new school.
