wipe your feet' is very common and when it's said as you enter a house everybody knows it means 'wipe the soles of your shoes on the doormat'. 

It's such a common expression that if you were to say 'Wipe your shoes', I think many people would take it to mean cleaning your shoes with a cloth.

And yes, in another context, to 'wipe your feet' can mean literally to wipe your feet.
