youg was the first physicist to succesfully make coherent waves (waves having same aplitude and freauency)......he made two very thin holes in a cardboard and placed a light source in behind of it and a white sheet in front of the cardboard ........actually his aim was to test the phenomenon of light called differaction.....when coherent light waves meet there happens a process called differaction of light(making of dark and white fringes or bands) and guess what.....HE SUCCESFULLY DEMOSTRATED THE EXPERIMENT.......I LOVE YOU.......NG
