Subject: Unplanned sprawling of the city
Sir:
I am writing to your thoughtful self to bring to the notice of the authorities and people the harsh truth about the unplanned sprawling of our city. The old city was unscientifically planned. The new settlements are not good either. There is no garbage treatment plant. The sewage water is being dumped into the pure river, which is the greatest environmental threat not only for the present generation but also the coming generations as well.
There is almost zero forest cover in or around the city; scientifically the city people are living in an environmental covert that is highly toxic. No wonder the rate of deadly diseases is so high among the people of the city. Everything is ill planned – the sewage, the colonies, the markets, the industrial areas, and many more.
Through the columns of your esteemed daily I appeal to the people and the Government to look into the problem and take necessary measures for the good of all.
Thanking you.
Yours truly,
Upen Sharma

Subject: Seeking suggestion on unplanned urban expansion
Sir/Madam,
I live in Jorhat town of Assam. Recently, our city has been expanding fast.
Houses and industries are being built everyday without any planning.
During monsoon, artificial flood affects many parts of the city due to lack of drainage.
So, I am requesting your kind suggestion and guidance to help solving the problem.
Thanking You.
