by a member of reporting committee-
The college of J.K Memorial recently organized an awareness drive to eradicate the diversified usage of tobacco. The drive against smoking and chewing tobacco was planned by our respected Dean Sir, Mr. Rohan Banerjee.
The drive was structured for five days where students participated in slogan writing, poster making, and other creative competitions where students had to create their assigned material related to tobacco.
Awareness boards were designed by the participants and were displayed before the college gate. Ways to abandon this habit were also propagated by the students. Chewing gums that helped substitution tobacco were distributed at large.
The awareness program was a success and the active participation of the students was appreciated.
