My dear brother,

We have not heard from you for quite some time. Mother is rather worried about you. This morning I heard her pray in the ‘Temple' for your well-being. Please write more frequently, at least for mother's sake.

My examination is over. I am sure you are eager to know how I have fared in it. Well, you know. I am nowhere near you as a student. Our Headmaster says that the school has still not produced another student as brilliant as you. He was all smiles when I gave him the news that you are soon going to the U.S.A. for further research.

As I am now free from the burden of preparing for the examination I am thinking of doing something to improve my English. I seek your advice in this respect. Please write how best I can do this.

Father has asked me to tell you that you need not worry about pecuniary problems of the family at present. He says that you should not hesitate for a moment in prosecuting further studies abroad, and that for the next three years he will be able to support the family. Though I am your younger sister,' I would also request you not to worry about us. If everything goes well, time is not far off when we will be able to give a little comfort to our parents, who have suffered so much hardship for us.

With kind regards,

Lovingly yours!
