your friend filled a drinking glass (glass/glass/copper) and drank water. He drank a glass of water and threw away the rest. Then you said to him, "Water is priceless. Don't waste it like that." Then your friend said to you, Oh! The earth is 71% water. Why worry when there is so much water in the oceans? "Now how do you explain to him the importance of water

Answer:

half of the earth's surface is 71% water but then ,97% of water is found in oceans and seas and are not drinkable (too salty for drinking, growing crops and most industrial uses) only 3% of the earth's water is fresh but still most of it is frozen and the only freshwater we can drink are in rivers, ponds,underground....

but we are polluting water from the rivers and lakes by trashing it,throwing plastic ,human waste, soap, and other chemicals,we are not only polluting but also making pollution a threat to the animals, that's why we shouldn't waste water.

hope this helps, have a good time reading.
