It was a great pleasure to hear from you yesterday. We are all doing well. My examinations are finally over and I am looking forward to a few days of relaxation. I am really pleased to hear of your success in the final examinations. However, as your friend and well wisher, I am concerned about something I found out about you.
You told me in your last letter that you have been buying a lot of expensive dresses and accessories. It seems you are being a bit extravagant of late. While there is no harm in buying yourself a pretty dress once in a while, this extravagance is not a good thing. We must learn to save money. Thriftiness is an important lesson which is a part of growing up. If you keep blowing money on dresses and accessories, you will not be able to save any. Of course, these things are nice to have, but it is important to focus on the necessities. Please do take my earnest advice and be more careful with your money.
