Your friend has weak eye sight .he is unable to see the writing on the board but refuses to wear his glases .As a result he is not able to do well ih his class assignment. Why do you think your friend does not like to?

may be he may think 'what happens if i won't wore my glasses'
or he may think 'i am not having eyesight' or he may think that everyone would tease him if he wore the glasses anything or he may not like wearing glasses

(a) I would encourage my friend to wear the glasses by telling him/her the side effects of not wearing it.
(b) I would ask him/her to wear the glasses everyday which would help him/her in proper vision and I would motivate my friend by telling him/her about the advantages of wearing it.
