Cholera could be the cause. Cholera causes one to have a dry skin and this is evident according to the case of the child. If one has cholera they usually have continued diarrhoea which cause ones body to dehydrate  causing one to loose a lot of water in the body as  a result of diarrhoea. One can identify cholera through these symptoms. CMM

Fats and biles may create fat globules in the body that manifests itself in the form of swollen hands, legs and frequent diarrhoea.

It is advisable to parents to give children a dose of ORS solution frequently so that the water intake can be increased in them.

Less water will cause all of these types of problems because 60 percent of body weight is water for any individual and that must be compensated at all times in the body.
