How are you doing? How are your parents? I heard you stood 3rd in class and I am so proud of you. I am writing this letter to share some good news from my side as well. On the 2nd of December, 2020 our school celebrated its annual day at (venue).
We had invited the district collector to be our chief guest. We had a number of events that were organized by our teachers and the winners were given prizes by the village Sarpanch. I also received a prize in essay writing as well as music competition. I received two gold medals for those events. I am so happy that in such a long time I won something and my parents who were present there seemed very proud and happy. This has motivated me to participate in the future in as many events as possible.
At the end of the prize distribution ceremony our headmaster gave a quick report on our school's progress during the last year after which the cultural program began with an opening dance to inaugurate the Annual day celebration. At the end of the program we clicked photographs with our teachers, friends and families. I thought of you at that time and wished you had been there.

Dear Vaishali,
It has been a long time since we have written to each other. The other day I told you about the annual day function. Today I am going to describe my experience on how I felt while receiving the prize.
Our annual day consisted of a variety of programs. Some programs are listed below.
⇒ First we had theme songs, the theme was Harry Potter. We sung the Hogwarts song followed by our national anthem.
⇒Then we had a number of plays to entertain the audience. All the tiny tots brought on the crowd's attention and the crowd loved their show.
⇒Next up we had brought our skits. Students from classes 8th, 9th and 10th performed skits which contained humor,comedy as well as sorrow.
⇒Finally we ended our show with price distribution to all of the students.
Our district money collector was invited to be the chief guest and he handed over the prizes. Many students got prizes for their solo performances on shows like kathak, dancing, ventriloquist act and many more. Some students also got prizes for their performances in academics and sports. I was one of them I had topped the class in class 9th and I reeved a grand prize of a 1000 Rupees
With my prize I would like to conclude my letter and hope you are doing well in your sports (and also academics) . Give love from me to your little sister and greeting to your parents and grandparents and hoping they all are in the pink of good health.
