Dear Aatish:
I hope this letter finds you in fine fettle. I also hope you
must have acclimatized to the new environment. I am writing to you to tell you
about our annual day function. As you already know the function was to be held
on January 22, 2017, it happened as per the schedule. I participated in an
English play which received exuberant applause.
The auditorium was packed to capacity. Mr. Rajnath Singh,
the Home Minister was the chief-guest. There was no performance that was not
liked. The chief guest applauded the school management for such a grand and
perfect programme. I will send you the pictures, the moment I get them. The
rest is fine. I am missing you a lot. Give regards to uncle and aunt. Do reply
soon!

Dear Granny:
I hope this letter finds you in sound health and vibrant state of mind. You will be glad to know that I have won the Best Athlete Award in inter-school Athletics Competition in the city last week. I took part in 100 meters race, relay race, and long jump events and won gold medals in all of them.
I could win these medals because I had worked very hard. I have realized the value of perseverance and commitment. One can accomplish anything. Winning the gold medal in the 100 meters race was to most difficult of all the medals. I just won by a few inches. My happiness became manifold when my name was announced as the best sports man of the athletic meet. I also received lots of praise at the school. My name appeared in the local media. Everyone congratulated me. I thank God for this achievement. Parnam to you and dear Grandpa!
