your school laboratory has one large window .to find the focal length of a concave mirror using one of the wall as the screen ,the experiment may be performed



1.near the wall opp. to the window



2.on the same wall as the window



3.on the wall adjacent to the window



4.only on the table as per laboratory arrangement

The experiment may be performed  1) near the wall opposite the window.

  • A concave mirror, or converging mirror, has a reflecting surface that is recessed inward.
  • The concave mirror forms image at the focus when the object is placed at infinity.
  • The concave mirror forms image on the side of the object.
  • So when the object is at infinity, and the concave mirror is positioned near the wall opposite to the window, the image will be formed at the focus of the concave mirror.
