It was a school excursion conducted by our school authority to Amritsar and Wagah Border.
It was really nice experience to visit such places where we can find the original scenario of our defense system.
It is suggested to book a hotel near The Golden Temple of Amritsar and this temple is located near the border area only.
Even you can also take an auto to reach Golden Temple and you need to cover your head for entering the Golden Temple.
You need to spend at least two hours to explore the temple and from there you can take a rental car to reach Jallianwala bagh.
We have booked a car at Rs.200 only and you need to bargain a lot to reduce your cost.
It is better to book a car rather than an auto to reach Wagah border and you should not carry any luggage to the border area.
Only water, sunglasses and camera are allowed and plastic is strictly prohibited in this area.
You can take photos at the main gate of the Wagah border and you must take your seats as early as possible.
