Answer:

Last week, the Education Society of our school organized an Education tour to the Red Fort, Delhi. It was a one day trip. As many as there were 80 students. We were all curious to witness this monumental evidence of India's Freedom struggle.

We reached the venue at 10:30 am. The Red Fort is located in the heart of Delhi. The fort was the main home of the emperors of the Mughal dynasty for around 200 years until the 1857 mutiny. It was Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan who got it constructed in 1639.

This great walled citadel with red sandstone wall took around 10 years to complete. Visit to the Red Fort is not only an Educational but also a cultural trip. This great monument is the standing example of rich Indian culture intermingling with the Mughal culture which the Mughals had brought to India with them.

hope it helps you....................

Numerous chivalrous and avant-garde rulers of these dynasties have created extraordinary architectural masterpieces to showcase their taste for the arts within Delhi. One such edifice of the erstwhile princely capital was the Red Fort or Lal Quila. Once the residence of the royal family, this impressive structure encompasses some beautiful monuments within its boundary. Diwan-e-Aam,Nahr-e-Behisht,Chatta Bazaar,Hammam and the exhilarating Hayat Bakhsh Bagh are some of the biggest charms of Red Fort. February 2 was a day I will never forget for the rest of my life. We went on an educational trip to Red Fort, which is rightfully regarded as the crown of Indias heritage. I was struck by the breathtaking and intricate architecture of the magnificent red sandstone structure. Our guide spoke at length about the quaint Dora work, and the use of Indo-Islamic architecture at the Red Fort. Besides the Chatta Bazaar,we got to see the marvellous Makrani marble throne at the Diwan-e-Aam. The place that fascinated me the most was the Rang Mahal, with the Lotus fountain. There was a simple white stone mosque,Moti Masjid, the only structure constructed by Aurangzeb in Shahjahanabad. Later,we came across the peaceful heart-warming Sawan-Bhado pavilion. was truly a memorable day.
