Last week, DPS Dubai won the Heritage Quiz Contest at the National level, which was organised by The Heritage Centre at Shimla. This quiz was on 2nd January, 2020, Thursday, from 9:00 am till 5:00 pm. There were many different schools participating in this competition like DPS Dubai, DPS Sharjah, JSS International school etc. It was inaugurated by a very special guest who was the head of the heritage centre. Mr…., the famous TV anchor conducted the quiz. All rules were explained by the host before the competition started.
The first round was a quick fire round, and all schools did well in this round, yet the last 2 schools, of the 10 schools that participated, were eliminated. In the second round, the schools had to guess the famous personality who won a prize for a good deed. DPS Sharjah aced this round, but DPS Dubai was no less too. 2 more schools were eliminated. The third round was a bit harder, and the last 3 schools would get eliminated after this. We had to guess the noble price winner by the field in which they one. However, DPS Dubai still managed to be first.
Lastly, there was a general round between the 3 finalists, which was easily won by DPS Dubai. At the end, DPS Dubai won with a score of 120 points. Our school received prizes from the world heritage centre and each of the participants were given medals. A speech was given by our quiz team leader as we received the prizes. Our school was also selected for the international quiz, that took place yesterday, 12th January 2020.
