Dear Nandini raj,
You would be happy to know that our school celebrated its Silver Jubilee last week when you had gone to attend your cousin's marriage. During this week, the arts club of the school organised the poster and painting competition for junior classes. This was followed by a walk a mile rally, in which besides the students, parents also participated with great enthusiasm. The rally was led by our School Captain Ananya Chatterjee. The objective of the rally was to create awareness about conservation of natural resources to safeguard the environment.
However, the climax of the jubilee celebration, was a scintillating function held in the School Auditorium, in the benign presence of the Founder Director Shri U P Singh. The function began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the Director, in the presence of the school principal, Mrs Matthew.
In his brief speech,Mr. Singh recalled the memorable past, the glorious present and the bright future of the school. After his address, the cultural programme organised by the cultural club unfolded. As the captain of the cultural club, I had made special effort to present something new, for which I had sought the help of our music teacher Ms Nisha Mishra.
The theme of the function being HOPE, we presented through songs and dance socially relevant messages highlighting the importance of character building, dignity of labour and unity in diversity.
The music and ingenuity of the program, left the audience spellbound. The show reach its pinnacle, when we sang Jai Ho, which so enthralled the audience that they also joined in the chorus.
It would have been wonderful if you could also had joined in the celebrations.

I was glad to receive your letter. It was a pleasure to know that you are enjoying the winter vacations at your Mamaji’s place in Lucknow. You have asked about the annual function held at my school. Well, the annual function of my school was held on 2nd January, Tuesday. A stage was built up. Our Education Minister was the Chief Guest for the day. A cultural show was arranged, in which one-act plays, folk dance and songs.
Were presented. After the cultural show, the Principal read the Annual Report. The chief guest distributed prizes to the meritorious students and the best performers. He praised the efforts made by our school in preparing the students for the annual function. The function ended after a tea-party. It was a properly arranged and well managed function. Convey my regards to your Mamaji, Mamiji .
