Grandparents play an important role in the lives of every child. The pampering that grandkids get from their grandparents leaves a lasting impression on their lives.

This Grandparents Day, our students enjoyed seeing their grandparents in their school. There were activities like story-telling, art & craft, musical chairs & poem recitation. Students also used the iPad with their grandparents to carry out these activities. Each classroom witnessed a mix of activities for the grandparents and children

We are asked to write a descriptive paragraph on the celebrations in about 150 words. The descriptive paragraph on the celebrations will be as under:

We recently had a day observed as grandparents day in our school. The students decorated the entire school with streamers and balloons and made the classroom look like older-style classrooms. The grandparents of mostly all the students turned up. What fun we had when they started recognizing each other as their friends who had lost touch. They were so lost in catching up with the news of each other lives that they were not looking also at anybody else. Finally how we are told that the food is ready to come and eat the same way they needed to be told that the food is ready please eat. The food was a dosa shed where all different types of dosas were made which everyone loved. I think this day should be celebrated more often in other schools as well. If not for us atleast I think that it is our duty to provide a day of fun for our grandparents.
