Courage is important quality at any stage of life and not only youth.
I think courage is required when we are doing something by stepping out of our comfort zone. By comfort zone, I mean, when results are uncertain,because we are normally comfortable in making decisions when output is certain.
Courage is required only when we are not sure of success. It can be financial investment to start a new venture, or giving up a stable profession to try career in new interest area etc.
And yes, Youth is the time when we can afford to take risk. At this time, responsibilities are less, and we have time to cover up the losses incurred, if any, due to our decisions, i.e. we have power to bounce back.
As we grow, responsibilities increase and resilience(both mental and physical) decreases. Hence, we look for more security while making decisions.
Therefore, in my opinion, Courage plays an important role in youth’s life.
