dimapur, nov 11 : Plants and trees are supposed to be blessings. They give us oxygen without which we cannot survive for a single moment. They give us shade and shelter, food and fruits, medicine. They keep ecological balance. In fact, plants and trees are of great use to us. But it is a matter of great concern that plants and trees are being cut down indiscriminately. Forests are being burnt down. Deforestation is seen almost everywhere.
Deforestation is basically caused for human habitation and collection of wood. But environment friendly birds and beasts are facing extinction.
