ZACD is an exterior angle of AABC.
The measures of ZA and ZB are
equal. If mZACD = 140°, find the
measures of the angles ZA and ZB.​

GIVEN

angleA = angleB

ACD=140°

SOLUTION

C = 180° - 140°

C = 40°

we can write A and B as X because both are equal .

so,

40° + 2x = 180°

2x = 180° - 40°

2x = 140°

x = 140°/2

x = 70°

therefore, angle A = 70 ° and angle B =70°

hence, A=B
