In between rabi & kharif crop season , there is a short season during summer month known as Zaid season.

Crops grown in zaid season are watermelon, muskmelon, cucumber etc.

The crops grown between the time period of kharif and rabi crops are called Zaid Crops.For growing these crops we don't need to wait for monsoon season.These crops are grown mainly in the summer season during a period called the "Zayad crop season." They are also called Zayad Crops.They require warm dry weather for major growth period and longer day length for flowering. The main produce are seasonal fruits and vegetables.For example cucumber,gourd etc
