Answer: Yes , Zener diode can be used as a voltage regulator

Explanation:

Because Zener diode works on reverse breakdown voltage during the impulse of reverse breakdown voltage the diode conducts it by drift of minority charge carriers as its in reverse biased condition it gives feeble acceptable current to device hence the device is saved

so during high voltage impulse from socket the device would be saved

and safe amount of potential would be created and safe amount of current will flow through it there fore zener diode can work as a regulator.

After potential barrier breakdown, zener diode permits only a limited amount of voltage to pass through it, not depending on how much the supply voltage is, but it should be greater than breakdown voltage.

To use zener diode as a voltage regulator, a heavy resistance ( R in the diagram of above attachment ) is connected with the parallel combination of zener diode and load resistance ( to which the regulated supply be given, R(l) in the above attachment ) and this circuit is reversed biased having value greater than zener voltage of the diode.

plz mark it as brainliest
