Here is your answer...

An object has moved through a distance. ... Yes, the object instead of moving through a distance can have zero displacement. Example: If an object travels from point A and reaches to the same point A, then its displacement is zero. A farmer moves along the boundary of a square field of side 10 m in 40 s.

Zero displacement

When the final position and initial position of the object is same then displacement is said to be zero for example an object/body moving in a circular motion when reaches the starting point after completing one complete circle  is said to have zero displacement.

The zero-velocity surface is a concept that relates to the N-body problem of gravity. It represents a surface a body of given energy cannot cross, since it would have zero velocity on the surface. It was first introduced by George William Hill.

for example- if you travel from your home to school and back to home, distance would be twice the distance between your home and school. but, as the initial and final position are same and distance between your home and home is zero, hence displacement is zero.
